Really there’s no excuse not to take pancreatic enzymes a half an hour before you eat

For a person with any kind of cancer, there is really no excuse not to take pancreatic enzymes USP a half an hour before you eat.

When you are recovering from cancer or if you just want your body to have all the tools available to create perfect new cells, some amount of enzymes are needed to do the job.

If you're older than 25 years old chances are your pancreas is not producing enough enzymes.

Since you believe you have cancer I’m concerned that you didn't order the complete package: The Kelley enzymes, Solozyme, that you take between meals, plus the 1200 mg USP pancreatin enzymes (capsules or tablets) (especially if you're traveling a lot) that you take thirty minutes prior to eating.

I would like you to try them. I want you to take several, maybe three or four, one-half hour before you eat to see if you feel like you're getting more complete digestion of your food. The recommended dosage is 8 of the 1200 mg USP pancreatin enzymes half an hour before consuming food three times a day which is why we generally sell a 1000 size container because it makes the cost much lower. They work very well for most people and when they do, it is something that people consume at some amount for years and years. It personally took me about seven years to be able to get down to zero amount of enzymes before eating. This does not mean that I am totally restored and moved back to age 20. I recommend, if you do get down to that zero amount, that you test yourself every couple of months to see if your body needs the enzymes again.

As you heal, the amount you need to supplement to get complete digestion will become less. I have written more detail at this post:

Digesting Food

Cleaning up your diet, reducing the amount of animal products to zero, and eating smaller meals, all contribute to making it easier for the amount of enzymes your body produces to be successful at dispatching all of the food (breaking it down into amino acids and other nutrients) that you consume.

Stress also contributes to the number of enzymes that your body requires because stress compresses the pancreas and causes it to not work as well. So if a stressful event comes up in your life you may need to go back to taking a larger amount of enzymes. You just have to pay attention.

Stress is not limited to what happens today. Stress can also be created from something that happened in your past. If any of this resonates with you, please read more about it at the link below, and feel free to reach out to me for guidance.

Enzymes act real fast – what to do with pain

Betsy asks how to proceed

The enzymes arrive yesterday afternoon so I took the first lot of 8 1200’s half hour before dinner. After dinner, I went to lay down and proceeded to get a very painful backache midway up. Before bed, I went ahead and took 12 of the Dr. Kelley capsules.

Between the back pain and then what I think is an enormous amount of intestinal gas I did not sleep last night. This morning I am still having stabbing pain in the area of the liver which I think is intestinal related.

Any idea what went wrong? I was so hopeful that this was the answer but these pills do not seem to agree with me.
Any ideas? I am afraid to take any more until I find out what may have gone wrong.

Dale Comments

When enzymes are available in more volume than needed for digesting the food the extra will pass into the bloodstream and begin to destroy the following:

  • Abnormal cells (cancer)
  • Fungus
  • Food particles
  • Dead expired blood cells
  • Pollen
  • And more

Once these broken cells are filtered and captured by the liver if your liver was already very full some of these toxins will flow over the liver and be reintroduced into the bloodstream.

Take a coffee enema to dump liver, make more room and relieve the pain that comes from overflow.

In your case

Since you said in prior communications that you are not taking five coffee enemas per day. Increase frequency of enemas.

And reduce the number of enzymes each time. Your liver seems to be very full and so

if you can manage two enzymes before meals and two enzymes away from meals three times for 4 days without symptoms do so then add another enzyme then four days and continue in this routine until you are at the therapeutic recommended dose.

Keep in touch and if you get to five coffee enemas per day and cannot manage full therapeutic dosage without the symptoms coming back, take the five days off as explained in One Answer To Cancer.

What happens if I have a small snack close to the time I take the Kelley Enzymes

Betsy Asks Dale

Regarding the timing of taking of Kelley Enzymes.

I tend to eat any time day or evening the desire strikes as my appetite is poor and meals tend to be small. Is there a problem with having a snack around the time I take the Kelley enzymes which are supposed to be away from meals?

Dale Answers:

Your body will use the enzymes available to digest the food until the digestion process is over, only then will any enzyme material be taken up into the bloodstream.

Additional note: as soon as you smell your food or begin to eat your stomach goes into action and begins to issue acid to address the beginning stage of digestion. The stomachs' job is to break down the food into a small enough size that the little particle can be further broken down into the amino acids and other nutritive components available.

If you take the Kelley enzymes and then the stomach begins you may (especially within the first thirty minutes of consuming) have the food causing acid to start and the enzyme being alkaline, neutralize some of the stomach acids and some of the enzymes be broken down rendering them ineffective in their job.

Your body is meant to issue the enzymes into the small intestine along with other fluids that neutralize the acid in the chyme.

What is Chyme

Chyme, a thick semifluid mass of partially digested food and digestive secretions that is formed in the stomach and passed into intestines during the digestion process. In the stomach, digestive juices are formed by the gastric glands; these secretions include the enzyme pepsin, which breaks down proteins, and hydrochloric acid.

The best timing for consuming the Kelley Enzymes

Many people seem to do well taking the enzymes first thing in the AM and last thing at night ( or an hour and a half after dinner. Many people find that they take some in the middle of the night when they get up to pee.

If you take them in the middle of the night be sure and drink plenty of water, you do not want to skimp on the water to avoid getting up again to pee. A lump of enzymes not washed down can cause you distress you will not enjoy.

Thanks for your question

Enzymes Before Meals – Clarification on Timing

Dale, the enzymes arrived. I know you explained to me to wait 30 min and why…I understand.

Though this would also mean I would have to eat in 30 min in order to work?

Example of what I mean is if I took these new enzymes and waited for 1-2 hrs, would that mess it up?

kim

Answer

Enzymes that are not used by the food particles for mining the nutrients are passed into the bloodstream and used o “clean-up” anything that does not belong. this can include:

  • Fungus
  • Food particles that passed through the barrier (leaky gut)
  • Allergens, pollen etc.
  • And more

So if you take the enzymes way too soon some will be used in this way.

If you find you get burning butt on occasion, it could be that your body refused entry to the enzymes as they were not needed at the time.

If you forget and you took some way too soon, you may benefit from taking some additional about thirty minutes prior to actually eating.

Thanks for the question

Kelly enzymes are bothering her stomach?

Also just wanted to share this with you…the Kelly enzymes are bothering her stomach? She is only up to 2 a day but she had pains in her belly. I gave her a coffee enema but it didn't help. She was very sore. I told her to pull back until Monday… She didn't take any yesterday and her stomach felt fine.
Is this normal?
Stacy

Most any pain is a reflection of liver overflow.

Timing is the only variable if it seems to be withing just a few minutes of consuming, the pain could indicate something else.

Hi, the pain is not within a few minutes after the enzymes, it comes on after a few hours when she pulls back from them her stomach is fine.

This is definitely a liver overflow of her liver.

The enzymes are causing breaking of the cancer cells, the broken debris is then collected in the liver and the liver overflows. The weakest or most sensitive area of the body is affected by the re-circulation of the debris will always be affected. Most people get a headache, your mom happens to be her stomach area.

Some logical..so what is the remedy? Coffee enemas?

Yes more coffee enemas, up to five per day.

In Dr. Kelley's book One Answer to Cancer, this is clearly explained.

Pancreatic Enzyme Capsules or Tablets? What is Best For You?

If you find you need to take 4 or more of the 325 pancreatin enzymes to get the digestion you desire you may want to use Pancreatin Enzymes, 1200, 1,000 Capsules, as an alternative, so you do not have to take so many.

They are from the same manufacturer and are the same quality as the Pancreatic Enzymes 325.

The Gerson Therapy, Charlotte Gerson and Morton Walker, D.P.M., 2001, 2006

Supplementation with Pancreatin (Pages 192-193)

Dr. Gerson wrote: “I found pancreatin (pure pancreatic enzymes derived from crude pork pancreas extract from New Zealand) in many cases a valuable help in the therapy. A few patients cannot stand pancreatin; the majority are satisfied to have less digestive trouble with gas spasms and less difficulty in regaining weight and strength. We use the tablets after the detoxification; each contains five grains and is uncoated. The patient takes three or four tablets three times after meals, and later less.”8

As Dr. Gerson did, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) physician Michael B. Schachter, M.D., of Suffern, New York, often prescribes oral pancreatic enzymes to be taken with meals to help break down proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

They also serve a more cancer-specific function. When taken between meals, some of these enzymes are absorbed intact and can have systemic anti-inflammatory effect and a tendency to dissolve the protective coating around cancer cells.9

The pancreatic enzymes in pancreatin “digest away the protein coating which protects cancer cells from being destroyed by our immune system,” explains CAM physician Robert C. Atkins, M.D., of New York City. In effect, pancreatic enzymes remove the “shield” that otherwise enables cancer cells to protect themselves. “It's fascinating how many of the successful cancer programs that I have studied incorporate pancreatic enzymes,” says Dr. Atkins.10

In lectures to medical consumers, Dr. Gerson explained, “Pancreatin (as an uncoated tablet) is given four times a day, three tablets each time. So they (the cancer patients) always have plenty of trypsin, pepsin, lipase, and diastase in their systems. The blood can carry this around and digest the tumor masses wherever they may be.”18

In following the current Gerson Therapy protocol, the recommended dosage of pancreatin for debulking a malignant tumor usually is three 325-mg tablets four times a day. While a few people don't tolerate pancreatin well, most benefit, with less digestive trouble, gas spasms, and weakness. (It should not be given to sarcoma patients.) Encouraged for use is a pancreatin tablet made without cereal fillers that's manufactured by the Key Company of St. Louis, Missouri.

Kelley Enzymes VS USP Enzymes

For those who have been told they have cancer, following a modified Kelley Metabolic program. In this modified version we use Pancreatin USP to be taken thirty minutes prior to eating.

Understanding the differences between Dr. Kelley Enzymes and USP enzymes. Kelley enzymes start with the entire organic New Zeland porcine pancreas gland. Freeze Dried with additional chymotrypsin.  The USP enzyme is highly refined only contain:

lipase xxx USP units
protease xxx USP units
amylase xxx USP units

The balance of the materials extracted via chemical breakdown is typically sold on to digest clogged drains.

I recommend the Kelley Enzymes taken well away from food three times each day 12 capsules each time for a total of thirty-six capsules (twenty-seven grams.) These enzymes are porcine from New Zealand.

And in addition, thirty minutes prior to eating take nine grams of pancreatin USP to assist in digesting the food. It is important to support your body in completely digesting and extracting all the nutrition from the food you consume. These enzymes are porcine primarily from  New Zealand although we cannot guarantee origination.

  • You will also need to take coffee enemas as needed.
  • Enjoy a vegan diet for at least two months, then as much as five percent animal by calories.
  • Practice emotional stress reduction process daily.
  • Probiotics reinoculation is essential if you have ingested any pharmaceuticals or you were born cesarean.

From Wikipedia Explaining more about what the differences are.

Pancreas

The pancreas is both an endocrine and an exocrine gland, in that it functions to produce endocrinic hormones released into the circulatory system (such as insulin, and glucagon), to control glucose metabolism, and also to secrete digestive/exocrinic pancreatic juice, which is secreted eventually via the pancreatic duct into duodenum. A digestive or exocrine function of pancreas is as significant to the maintenance of health as its endocrine function.

Two of the population of cells in the pancreatic parenchyma make up its digestive enzymes:

  • Ductal cells: Mainly responsible for the production of bicarbonate (HCO3), which acts to neutralize the acidity of the stomach chyme entering duodenum through the pylorus. Ductal cells of the pancreas are stimulated by the hormone secretin to produce their bicarbonate-rich secretions, in what is, in essence, a bio-feedback mechanism; highly acidic stomach chyme entering the duodenum stimulates duodenal cells called “S cells” to produce the hormone secretin and release to the bloodstream. Secretin having entered the blood eventually comes into contact with the pancreatic ductal cells, stimulating them to produce their bicarbonate-rich juice. Secretin also inhibits production of gastrin by “G cells”, and also stimulates acinar cells of the pancreas to produce their pancreatic enzyme.
  • Acinar cells: Mainly responsible for the production of the inactive pancreatic enzymes (zymogens) that, once present in the small bowel, become activated and perform their major digestive functions by breaking down proteins, fat, and DNA/RNA. Acinar cells are stimulated by cholecystokinin (CCK), which is a hormone/neurotransmitter produced by the intestinal cells (I cells) in the duodenum. CCK stimulates the production of the pancreatic zymogens.

Pancreatic juice, composed of the secretions of both ductal and acinar cells, is made up of the following digestive enzymes:[2]

  • Trypsinogen, which is an inactive(zymogenic) protease that, once activated in the duodenum into trypsin, breaks down proteins at the basic amino acids. Trypsinogen is activated via the duodenal enzyme enterokinase into its active form trypsin.
  • Chymotrypsinogen, which is an inactive (zymogenic) protease that, once activated by duodenal enterokinase, turns into chymotrypsin and breaks down proteins at their aromatic amino acids. Chymotrypsinogen can also be activated by trypsin.
  • Carboxypeptidase, which is a protease that takes off the terminal amino acid group from a protein
  • Several elastases that degrade the protein elastin and some other proteins.
  • Pancreatic lipase that degrades triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol.
  • Sterol esterase
  • Phospholipase
  • Several nucleases that degrade nucleic acids, like DNAase and RNAase
  • Pancreatic amylase that breaks down starch and glycogen which are alpha-linked glucose polymers. Humans lack the cellulases to digest the carbohydrate cellulose which is a beta-linked glucose polymer.

Pancreas's exocrine function owes part of its immaculate function to bio-feedback mechanisms controlling the secretion of its juice. The following significant pancreatic bio-feedback mechanisms are essential to the maintenance of pancreatic juice balance/production:[3]

  • Secretin, a hormone produced by the duodenal “S cells” in response to the stomach chyme containing high hydrogen atom concentration (high acidity), is released into the bloodstream; upon return to the digestive tract, secretion decreases gastric emptying, increases secretion of the pancreatic ductal cells, as well as stimulating pancreatic acinar cells to release their zymogenic juice.
  • Cholecystokinin (CCK) is a unique peptide released by the duodenal “I cells” in response to chyme containing high fat or protein content. Unlike secretin, which is an endocrine hormone, CCK actually works via stimulation of a neuronal circuit, the end result of which is stimulation of the acinar cells to release their content. CCK also increases gallbladder contraction, resulting in bile squeezed into the cystic ductcommon bile duct and eventually the duodenum. Bile, of course, helps absorption of the fat by emulsifying it, increasing its absorptive surface. Bile is made by the liver but is stored in the gallbladder.
  • Gastric inhibitory peptide (GIP) is produced by the mucosal duodenal cells in response to chyme containing high amounts of carbohydrate, proteins, and fatty acids. The main function of GIP is to decrease gastric emptying.
  • Somatostatin is a hormone produced by the mucosal cells of the duodenum and also the “delta cells” of the pancreas. Somatostatin has a major inhibitory effect, including on pancreatic production.

Tumor bigger or more spots after starting enzymes – Why?

AE asks Dale

Tumor bigger or more spots after starting enzymes – Why?

A couple of things to consider: first is the timing of the “scan”

How long prior to the beginning of the full Kelley program (54 Grams per day)

Second is that the enzymes will break the encapsulations.

Prior to the enzymes being able to damage the cancer cells the enzymes must break through these encapsulations. As the encapsulation breaks some amount of cancerous cells will undoubtedly be circulated and some may not be destroyed directly and so may show up in a scan.

In the case of a big lump the first this that may be noticed is the area may seem bigger. Do not be alarmed.

I do not recommend any testing be done until after three months on the protocol. This time interval is typically long enough to see some improvement.

Please keep in mind, it took many years to develope and according to Dr Kelley will generally take six to eighteen months at theraputic dose to get to the point of testing clear for most people.
