Plant Based Diet Tips for Restoring Health

You need to get adequate calories and protein each day in order to rebuild sound cells.

Getting enough of these is difficult if you are only consuming juice or raw food.

You will need to assure that you include enough calories.

Between 50 and 70 billion cells die each day due to apoptosis in the average human adult. For an average child between the ages of 8 and 14, approximately 20 billion to 30 billion cells die each day.

The VitaMix Machine:

I recommend using a VitaMix machine in order to break the food particles down into tiny pieces (the way I test this is, after I grind up the food I take a little bit between my fingers and rub it — if it feels like fine paint I've ground it up enough). Most blenders are not able to do this, so that's why I recommend using a VitaMix machine.

Now that the food is in tiny pieces and you have swallowed it (be sure to mix it with your saliva before swallowing it as there are enzymes in your saliva that begin the digestive process of carbohydrates), your stomach acid, which begins the digestive process of proteins, will have an easier time reaching every particle of your food and the food will come out of your stomach completely ready for your small intestine and your pancreas (and your supplementing pancreatic enzymes) to turn it into amino acids and other nutrients.

If the food particles you swallow are too large your stomach acid and pancreas (and pancreatic enzyme supplements) will not be able to do as thorough a job of turning your food into the amino acids and other nutrients that are needed to rebuild your cells, plus, the undigested food particles passing through your colon can cause bloating, gas and pain. This is why I recommend using a VitaMix machine for anyone trying to regain their health.

One of the reasons patients don't like to eat is that they feel terrible after they eat.

When the food you consume is not being broken down enough the undigested food continues to move through your small intestine and into the the colon where it putrefies and ferments, which feeds your friendly and not-so-friendly bacteria that live in your colon. Eventually, the delicate balance between the two becomes compromised and fungus (candida) and mold take over your colon, which cause discomfort and, in some cases, severe pain.

There are two things you can do to restore and maintain the correct balance between your friendly and not-so-friendly colon bacteria (you cannot completely get rid of the not-so-friendly bacteria — some experts believe friendly and not-so-friendly bacteria are one and the same and it's just the environment of the colon — putrifying and fermenting food, most pharmacutical drugs and anti-biotics, which kill both kinds of bacteria and can cause severe diarrhea — that changes the balance between them).

The first is to grind your food with a VitaMix at least until your health is restored.

Bacillus Coagulans Pro-Biotic Capsules:

The second is to supplement your diet temporarily or for the rest of your life with a special kind of pro-biotic called Bacillus Coagulans, that you can take daily (two capsules twice or three times a day) even while you are taking pharmacutical drugs or a course of anti-biotics (alternate doses of pro-biotic with the anti-biotic, separated by about two hours).

Betaine Hydrochloride Capsules:

If your production of stomach acid is low, a small percentage of people are able to get relief by supplementing their diet with betaine hydrochloride capsules, which assists in breaking down protein.

I recommend using a VitaMix machine to grind up your food for one month to find out if you feel better. If it does not seem to make a difference then try taking betaine hydrochloride capsules.

Recommended foods to consume that are rich in calories and protein:

Beans

Oatmeal

Potatoes

Almond butter (also high in fat)

Use caution if you're choosing to drink a lot of carrot and apple juice. You should be either diluting the carrot and apple juice with equal parts distilled water or making sure that your stomach is not totally empty when you drink it so that you don't get shocked of insulin.

Green juices are fine as they won't give you the insulin shock.
